Today’s the last day of G13 in taylor’s college. After months of counting downs, the end is here. It seems like just yesterday when we took our first step into the class of g13 as naive little spm graduates. Here, people throw venomous stares at each other as prejudice took place in everyones heart. On that day, everything seems wrong and everyone seems to be either too ignorant, or too friendly, or too sexy, too snobbish. Everyone has a different opinion on everyoneelse.

Months past. In between, so much had happened. The happy times, our bbq parties, our gathering, outings, karaokae, or basically, just being with each other. The sad part, grudges, anger, misunderstanding, boyfriends, accidents, exams, running away.

Every singing sessions in the class, every walks we made from class to class, every jokes mr john breaks, every whacking mr yap gave, every meals in asia cafe, every lan classes in the most uncomfortable lecture halls, everything, will be deeply missed. Right till this point, I still cannot accept the fact that G13 is over. What a short year, but look at the things we’ve been thru.

G13 in taylors may be over, but g13 is like a seed, planted at every heart of g13. It’ll always stay there as memories. Don’t worry bout having to come to the end of the road, just know that you’ve been thru the happiest time and you once had this before.

I’m sure by now you all know who I am. What a terrible secret writer I am. truk.

Sories from ER by Joanne

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

A big thank you to Joanne Tham of G13 for posting such wonderful stories.

A few stories from our nation’s Emergency Rooms
to prove that fact is stranger than fiction.

A 28-year old male was brought into the ER after an attempted suicide.
The man had swallowed several nitroglycerin pills and a fifth of vodka.
When asked about the bruises about his head and chest he said that
they were from him ramming himself into the wall in an attempt to
make the nitroglycerin explode.

A 50-year old woman came into the ER with a complaint of mild
abdominal pain. During a pelvic exam the doctor found that the lady had
inserted a whole chicken piece by piece into her private area. Unable
to
have children she was hoping that the chicken would turn into a baby.

A man in his mid-fifties did a Loraina Bobbit on himself in a drunken
rage and ended up in the ER. The urologist thought that he could
reattach the man’s genitalia if it could be recovered and if it was in
good condition. The police were dispatched to the man’s house and the
search was on. During the search, one of the officers heard a choking
sound coming from the man’s poodle that was sitting in the corner.
After a brief fight, the officer was able to retrieve the man’s jewels
from the dog’s mouth. After inspection of the parts by the urologist
it was decided that the man would need to be taught to pee while
sitting. The officer was given a commendation from his precinct
for medical assistance.

A woman with shortness of breath and who weighed approximately 500
lbs was dragged into the ER on a tarp by six firemen. While trying to
undress the lady an asthma inhaler fell out of one of the folds under
her
arm. After an X-ray showed a round mass on the left side of her chest
her massive left breast was lifted to find a shiny new dime. And last
but
not least during a pelvic exam a TV remote control was discovered in
one
of the folds of her crotch. She became known as "The Human Couch".

A doctor who spoke limited Spanish was rushed to a car in the ER
parking lot to find a Spanish woman in the process of giving birth.
Wanting to tell the woman to push he started yelling "Puta! Puta!
Puta!"
At this the grandmother started to cry and the baby’s father had to be
restrained. What the doctor should have been saying was "Puja!"
(Push!).
Instead, he was saying, "Whore! Whore! Whore!"

An unconscious 36-year old male was brought to the ER with cocaine
induced
seizures. As a nurse pulled back his foreskin to insert a catheter a
neatly
folded twenty dollar bill fell out of the foreskin fold. When the man
woke
up and demanded to leave, the nurse gave him back his belongings and
told
him where she had found the money. His response: "It was a fifty!"

The most nonemergent ER visit: A male adolescent came
in at 2 a.m. with a complaint of belly button lint.

A young female came to the ER with lower abdominal pain. During the
exam and questioning, the female denied being sexually active. The
doctor gave her a pregnancy test anyway and it came back positive.
The doctor went back to the young female’s room.
Doctor: "The results of your pregnancy test came back positive.
Are you sure you’re not sexually active?"
Patient: "Sexually active? No, sir, I just lay there."
Doctor: "I see. Well, do you know who the father is?"
Patient: "No. Who?"

A 92-year old woman had a full cardiac arrest at home and was rushed
to the hospital. After about thirty minutes of unsuccessful
resuscitation
attempts, the old lady was pronounced dead. The doctor went to tell the
lady’s 78-year-old daughter that her mother didn’t make it.
"Didn’t make it? Where could they be?
She left in the ambulance forty-five minutes ago!"

A 15-year old boy was laying on a stretcher with his mother sitting
next
to him. The boy was coming down from "crank" (methamphetamine) that
he had injected into his veins with needles he had been sharing with
his
friends. Concerned about this the doctor asked the boy if there was
anything he might have been doing that put him at risk for AIDS.
The boy thought for a while then said questioningly,
"I’ve been screwing the dog?"

A 19-year old female was asked why she was in the ER. She said that she
and her boyfriend were having sex and the condom came off and she
wasn’t able to retrieve it with her fingers. "Then I went to the
bathroom and ‘gagged’ myself to vomit, but couldn’t vomit it up
either."

Happy Birthday to Peng loon!!

Saturday, October 8th, 2005

Today, we had a little outing to Sunway Pyramid for a karaokae session with Mrs Kalpana. We’re having our exams soon, absurd assignments my loony lecturers, but what the heck, IT’S OUR PENG LOON"S BIRTHDAY!!.

In the karaokae session, many hidden voices were heard when Mrs Kalpana sang Bon jovi and Britney spears sons with us! Joanne also sang a sang, with her voice! Not whisper!!! But she sang a little of Through the rain by mariah carey before succumbing into the whisper voice again. But hell yeah, she can sing! And then, there’s Ching Mei, who seemed awkward and shy in the beginning, but soon joined into our singing frenzy, with songd like From the bottom of my broken heart, and loads loads more. And finally, there’s our star of the day, birthday boy Peng loon!! He sang a small verse of the chorus of simple plan’s welcome to my life and then, voice unheard. haha. Peng loon, our next red box outing, you better have 10 songs that you’ll have to sing yourslef.

Our karaokae session started with a song, I do (cherish you), by James for a special someone. Everything ended at 2, with the last song, which actually intended to be Barbie Girl, turns out to be Don’t Cha. Everyone had a lot of fun, but unfortunately, Huen shing had left early. Huen Shing, we’re so sorry. Next time there will be more chinese song singing.

After Red Box, our guest appearance, Poay lim, Ailing’s you know who, had left the scene, and the 2 lovebirds when on to do what couples would do. Thanks to Poay lim who had taken time to joined our outing.

Lastly, everyone starts to leave, with Ailing and poay lim as the first to go. And then came Suvia, next, and lastly, james, alex and Mui hao. Nevertheless, a little celebration, or can we consider it to be, was held at Delifrance.

What a day. What a day compared to the back few days where stormy clouds seem to linger upon everyone’s heads. Today is really a new day. A new day of hope, another day towards examination, and most importantly, another day where our friendships continued to bloom.

Happy Birthday Peng loon and Petrus from all of us!! May you both excel in all your studies, be what you wanna be,be happy, and may our friendships never end. Love ya.

Love;

G13

I see the sun

It’s Friday, the last day of the week. A long and exhausting week of getting back our results, tears, disapoinment, and running aways. However so, we can now breathe a sigh of relieve as our dear Ms Ng is back among us again. So far, no changes of any kind was observed. She’s back to her own cheerful and we shall thank heaven, G13s, and her old friends for this.

Tomorrow would be Peng Loon’s and Petrus’s birthday. However, Petrus would be back in his hometown which means we are only celebrating for Peng Loon’s birthday tomorrow. We will be going to Red Box karaokae where Mrs Kalpana will join us. Due to some complications earlier just now, James had said he wouldn’t be able to make it with us tomorrow. We really hope he can make it for we don’t want for anyone in g13 to miss out any celebrations anymore since it is our last month together. James dear, please say you’ll be able to make it. Singing cannot be fun without you.

Anyway, we went for a movie at Sunway during the afternoon just now. It is a show by Andy Lau in which he potrays a little boy who couldn’t wait to grow up but when his wish was fulfilled, he regrets the time loss which he will never gain back. This applies well to reality as many people are taking their lifes, time, and people around them for granted. Life has no take 2. Once its gone, it’s gone. Remember this well g13s….

At the end of the show, we have Ailing, Beeling and James sobbing over the unfortunate ending of the movie.

Earlier on, we celebrated Petrus’s birthday with a chocolate cake at Asia Cafe. We hope this would cheer him up and bring him into the warmness of G13.

That is all. Another week towards the finals. another week towards our last goodbyes.

Counting down the days tat we have left…

Thursday, October 6th, 2005

Another day comes, another day goes. Today is our common test 5 for mathematics, where we are given a final chance to boost our marks. It’s been a pretty moody silent day as yet another day had gone past without hearing the much missed voice of Ms Ng. Ms Geetha is absent today, must be due to the stress and fatigue students and teachers alike are having.

Today, taylors had a bunch of people from think.com.my here, throwing brains up the A,B,C,D block building for the students to catch. It started as an innocent giving out of brains to anyone walking pass the SAM office. Then in a while, it turned into a wild game of throw and catch, and the consequences? Nothing serious. Just rains and rains of uncaught brains came falling down, showering the cars and the ground beneath.

Our day ended in Asia Cafe, where we spent another silent, quiet meal. Laughter, jokes and songs were unheard today as each and every of our hearts grieve for the dissapearance of Ms. Ng.

There it is. One more day nearer to the end. Though it doesn’t sound much, but bear in mind, G13s, that we will be parting soon and times like this probably will not come again. As you reach the conclusion of this blog, please bow your head for a silent prayer to Ms. Ng to whom we pray she’ll be back within us as soon as possible, and lastly, wish her all the best in life.

We love you Beeling. We really do.1141474_img

Is this over yet?

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

So many things had happen in this few days. Theres no doubt things will never remain the same anymore. Just in less than a month we’ll parting, friendships and the once warm atmosphere in the G13 starts to deteriorate, as jokes, laughter, songs were no longer heard among the fellow G13s.

To Ms Ng who’s having an equally hard time in facing reality as we G13s have in losing the once bright and wonderful you, everyone in the class list, from James, to Ailing, to especially Ching Mei and Zhen Wei, to Alex, to Suvia, to Mui how, and all the way to even Nishan, are all terribly worried. And yes, though it is your life and who are we to be involved in the way you’re managing it, we hoped for the best for you, and we are always beside you. There is no way in convincing us not to care because after all we’ve been thru, you are no longer merely our friend, but a sister that god forgot to give to us.

Lastly, today had been a greyish day and with the absence of Mr yap, we did not recieve our 3rd chemistry paper. It turns out mrs kalpana was absent yesterday because of the exhaustion she went thru having marking our papers in a "marking marathon".

Time flies, and before we know it, it’s only 56 days before the year end signifies our separation. We also have exactly one month, 31 days, before we leave our classrooms forever. The times in 2.1, the long walks to D24, the daily meals in Kowloon, Asia, Cafeteria, Cabana, the rush hour period we had in the library to fix up our last minute projects, will be soon gone, dissapear into history like it had never happened before.

Today’s the 2nd day since we got our exam papers back. The day started really dark, rainy and wet. Everyone seemed to be in a better mood than they are yesterday.

After going thru ESL, which also ended with a few dissapointment, we have maths, where we discussed our test paper.

At biology, we were screamed at twice by some indian lady in the next class who can’t stand our noise. It turns out we were standing outside the biomedic lab for 15 minutes for completely nothing when the lab assistant announced that Mrs Kalpana is on MC today.

On our last lesson, chemistry, we were getting back our second paper. It turn out pretty well for some while for others, it was dreadful. Tears fell and many were in a state of disbelieve.

Another reminder to the G13s, find your mistakes and I don’t mean the mistakes in the paper. Get over your laziness, and get over this failure and try hard for the finals.

Dark, gloomy

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

Whatever laughter and happiness we had during our last 2 days holiday soon disolved into gloominess and tears today, when we got our results back. It started with Physics, many whom had did quite badly. There were tears, and loads of sadness but some managed to get a few extra points out of intensive checking of the paper.

Next is maths, and a lot had improved. Many congracts to Jane who had manage to get an A for maths.

Then came biology. Mrs Kalpana started the lesson expressing her dissapoinment on our dreadful marks for such an easy paper. But her lectures were nothing compare to the shock we’ve got upon receiving our papers. True, the paper was quite easy, but, mistakes and misspelled words knock our marks many way down. We have a total of 3 whom had scored A’s, many congracts to Ching Mei, David, and Tzu nin.

Last, came the result we all had been dreading, Chemistry. The exam initially was quite easy, as report by many, but unfortunately, the results were pretty dissapointing. However so, it is only our first paper today and we shall receive our next 2 papers the following day, which hopefully we would be able to increase our marks.

Lastly, there is no use crying over spilled milks. Those who studied well and scored, congractulations, but those whom did not, you just have to work harder on it. You know it yourself, did you study hard enough? No more last minute revisions, no more relaxing, start working hard. We have a month before our finals come, and this will determine us most. Most importantly, don’t give up. If you give up now, in the future, it’ll be " I’m not a doctor today because I didn’t do well in my 2005 trial exam". Nothing is impossible if you’re willing to work on it.
